Biden: Trump has ‘no clue’ about needs of middle class
In his speech to the Democratic convention, businessman and former NY mayor Michael Bloomberg said people needed to unite to defeat Trump, who he called a “dangerous demagogue”.

During Obama’s two presidential bids, Biden was often deployed on the campaign trail to try to win over white voters who could identify with his working background and direct manner of speaking.
And from Obama on Wednesday: “What we heard in Cleveland last week wasn’t particularly Republican, and it sure wasn’t conservative. His lack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in that phrase he is most proud of making famous: ‘You’re fired.’ I’m not joking”.
He continued, “Think about that”. Think about that. Think about what you learned as a child. “That’s a bunch of malarkey”, Biden added.
The VP pressed on, turning Trump’s own campaign slogan against him.
“He has no clue about what makes America great”, Biden roared.
Biden then went to emphasise things that Trump was clueless about, saying “Actually, he has no clue, period”.
The first half of Biden’s speech was extremely Biden-y – an empathetic and solemn feel-gooder about overcoming the trials and difficulties of life.
The accusation comes after plagiarism dominated a full news cycle last week when Melania Trump gave a speech at the Republican National Convention strikingly similar to one given by Michelle Obama at the Democrat’s convention in 2008.
Obama said the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to probe the leak that showed apparent bias toward Hillary Clinton over rival Bernie Sanders.
Biden also made a case for Hillary Clinton, describing her as smart, tough and passionate.
Hillary Clinton was officially made the Democratic nominee for president Tuesday and will take on Donald Trump in the general election in November. “And I promise you, our strength, our greatness, does not depend on Donald Trump”, he said.
After slipping in the polls following a post-convention bounce by Trump, Clinton desperately needs to emerge from the DNC with a fired-up base of delegates eager to canvass for her and push her back into the lead. “I know Hillary”, Biden said. “Parents who wonder whether their kids will have the same opportunities that we had”.

“Tonight, I ask you to do for Hillary Clinton what you did for me”, he said.
