Bielsa denies Mexico link
Olympique Marseille’s Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa has said he is committed to stay with the club, rebuffing reports suggesting his willingness to be the next coach of the Mexican national team.

“I’m not leaving here to go somewhere else”, Bielsa said.
The Argentine stunned the club, where he has become an idol in only 16 months at the helm, by presenting his resignation in the post-match press conference.
Marseille players hit the woodwork twice and were booed off the pitch after losing their opening game. Marcelo Bielsa had been the #1 contender, though many considered it a long-shot due to his high caliber and contract with Marseille.
Moments later, forward Andy Delort unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the box under Mandanda’s crossbar that silenced the home fans.
Bielsa and his hectic style – sometimes described as an “insane” brand of football – lead Marseille to a fourth-place finish last season despite financial woes that made it hard to strengthen their squad. “I am eager for the season to start because we have a competitive side”.
Camara opened the scoring after five minutes with a left-footed strike after Montpellier defenders failed to clear the ball properly.

Rounding off the action, a Jeremy Sorbon own goal in the 89th minute gifted Nantes a 1-0 victory against Guingamp, while Bastia came from behind to beat Rennes 2-1 despite having Brandao – who served a lengthy ban for headbutting Paris Saint-Germain’s Thiago Motta last season – sent off.
