The online version, titled “Big Brother: Over the Top”, will draft a new cast of Houseguests for a 10-week season that promises to reimagine the format for multiplatform audiences. The last houseguest remaining at the end of the season will win $250,000, compared to Big Brother’s typical $500,000 grand prize.
There are now seven contestants left in the running to be Season 18’s champion: Corey Brooks, James Huling, Michelle Meyer, Natalie Negrotti, Nicole Franzel, Paul Abrahamian and Victor Arroyo. The new productions will also be void of commercials under the US$9.99 model. The series hosted by Julie Chen is now airing its 18th season. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, CBS executives have spoken briefly about the new series, noting that Julie’s role isn’t going to be exactly the same as it is during summer seasons.
CBS has been increasing its offering on All Access over recent months by ordering a new season of classic reality franchise Big Brother which will be available exclusively on the fledgling streamer. (But first?) “The viewer will have more influence over the game than ever before”. Like the CBS All Access service which is available on a range of platforms including Android through the CBS app.
Full length episodes (“With live evictions!”) stream Wednesdays at 10pm/9c.

You’ll recall CBS sued Dish for letting consumers automatically skip ads, sued Aereo, and consistently threatened to stop over-the-air broadcasts every time a disruptive concept arrived to threaten the status quo.
