“At Walmart, we believe saving money every day is better than just one, and that all customers should save, not only some”, said the release. Amazon is hosting its second annual Prime Day on July 12, which is said to be their biggest event ever. “We admittedly did not have the most elegant deal shopping site previous year for Prime Day“.

Known as Amazon’s largest event, dealers and consumers are already preparing themselves for Prime Day 2016‘s nonstop shop of items at very reasonable discounts. But if you’re not a Prime member, don’t fret, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial to take advantage of the deals.

Customers can also avail of a free 30-day trial to ShippingPass, Walmart’s Prime-like shipping option that’s normally $49 per year. The lightning deal is available for a limited time, a few hours at most. It was the biggest worldwide sales day for Amazon, but many customers were left frustrated as the top products quickly went out of stock.

What is Amazon Prime and how much does it cost?

The Amazon Prime Day was created a year ago to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company and add spice to the middle-of-the-summer sales by adding membership numbers to the company’s Amazon Prime membership.

-Prime Day is a great opportunity to build a personal DVD and Blu-Ray collection.

Prime Day is a different beast than Black Friday and Cyber Monday, when there’s a set guideline of what people are shopping for: gifts.

Not to be outsold, Walmart has launched a “Rollbacks” sale that rivals Prime Day.

Keep in mind, also, that many of Amazon’s competitors, including Walmart and Best Buy, will offer deals on Prime Day as well, in an effort to keep up with the sales.

Amazon is also slashing prices on its own products in the USA, including the Fire tablet, Echo, Fire TV and Fire TV stick.
