Steam has received an official update for the massively-overlooked Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (via Kotaku).

With a bunch of fresh features, hopefully the update will help ensure the Obsidian Entertainment-developed RPG will keep on kicking for yet another decade.

In order to celebrate the occasion of the update’s release, Steam is now offering a 25 percent discount dropping the game’s price to $7.49.

The update includes plenty of other additions, such as Steam achievements, widescreen resolutions, and controller support.

37 achievements can now be earned, the game now allows for Steam Cloud saves, Steam Workshop support, as well as the use of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 controllers. One major mod that might interest players of the game is the Restored Content Mod, which fixes numerous technical issues with the game and even restores content that was cut from the original due to a rushed release. However, the sale won’t last for long, as it ends on July 28, 2015.

10-year-old game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 got a surprise update to its PC version today, including a high-definition makeover.

Obsidian’s much-maligned Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords released with quite a bit of controversy. Either way, Eurogamer’s report on the patch confirmed that the mod’s co-developer Zbigniew Staniewicz had offered feedback as far back as “a couple of months”.
