Bihar can only be changed if Nitish removed, says PM

Am I a Prime Minister of Pakistan or Bangladeshi?

Now, at the risk of exaggeration, let me say “Jungle Raj” is an upper-caste phrase – often used by the BJP for Yadavs (and Mayawati) in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

As the Bihar elections near climax, the Election Commission of India on Sunday issued notice to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, BJP president Amit Shah and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for violating model code by their statements during poll campaign in Bihar. “By giving an irresponsible statement, Amit Shah tried to call everyone who votes in favour of the grand alliance of JD-U, RJD, Congress and other parties as Pakistanis”, he alleged. “Nitish will be wiped out after 10-year rule”, he said. “Nitish had made his intentions clear way back on August 24, 2005”. Both sides claim to stand for development and the verdict may well boil down to who voters believe will actually deliver it to them.

“I have never made victory or defeat in any elections a matter of prestige”, he said when asked as to how much personal stake he has in the Bihar poll outcome. “I would have pulled him up if he had not gone”. He tells such big lies and engages in cheap talk.

Greeting people in their native language “Maithili” in Madhubani, Modi said former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee loved the land of Mithila.

As usual, the crowd turnout was massive in all the three rally addressed by the prime minister for the last phase of elections scheduled for November 5.

It appears that a critical mass of the Bihar electorate wants to reward Nitish Kumar for the good work he has done over the past several years.

“Will you issue notice if he has said that there is growing intolerance in the nation?”

“One engine will be that of the central government and the other of the NDA government in the state that will steer Bihar to the path of speedy progress and development”, he said.

“Had it been a BJP leader, the news would have been shown for a whole week and we would have been beaten up with all sorts of sticks… The government will be formed with two-third majority”, he said.

Calling for establishing a BJP government in the state like at the Centre, he said, “Bihar can not be pulled out of the well it has fallen into by the single engine of state government. The entire Mithila region has remained neglected under Lalu-Nitish regime and the NDA is determined to change that for better”, he said. Kumar had sacked Kushwaha after the sting was telecast.

Commenting on the Election Commission’s ban on two controversial ads of BJP in Bihar after finding them as “having the potential of creating mutual hatred”, Tyagi and nominated Rajya Sabha MP K T S Tulsi stepped up the attack on the rival warning of “strict action” under criminal law against BJP leaders.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in a scathing attack blamed the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the “backwardness” of Bihar. Nitish Babu has realised that he has lost out and it is hard to survive, hence his last resort is to visit babas.
