A 19-year-old boy in Bihar’s Gaya, was killed on Saturday night, for allegedly overtaking the vehicle in which a Janata Dal (United) politician’s son was traveling, media reports said.

Yadav is the son of JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi.

The police had earlier on Monday raided the house of Devi and had questioned her to find the whereabouts of her son.

Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Magadh Range) Suarabh Kumar had said the Gaya Police were finding out from where Rocky got license of his pistol. The security guard, when asked has revealed that the bullet that has hit Aditya is straight out of Rocky’s personal revolver.

Manorama Devi said Rocky is the elder of the two brothers and was preparing for the civil services examination in Delhi but many family members said he was involved in the real estate business.

“We were returning from Bodh Gaya [a popular tourist spot] and soon after we overtook the SUV [carrying Rocky Yadav] they started firing in the air and made us stop”, the student’s friend Aayush Kumar was quoted as telling journalists by The Hindu newspaper. The police said he is involved in more than a dozen cases of extortion, Arms Act and other offences. “We also want to know how the Land Rover auto was brought to Bihar when it was not transferred to Rocky or his father”, Patna Zonal IG N H Khan said.

Protesting the incident the local people on Sunday morning had blocked the road near Mahavir bridge in the town and raised slogans against the local administration and demanded immediate arrest of the accused in the case.

The statement from the Chief Minister came after the government was attacked by the Opposition demanding his resignation over the state of law and order in the state. He lashed out at the Opposition saying they were trying to project the Gaya road rage case as the return of “jungle raj” in Bihar.
