Biles can walk away from Rio with five gold medals (the individual finals for each apparatus is on Sunday, where Biles will compete on the vault, balance beam and floor). The tears flowed freely down Biles’ face as she received her medal, following a dazzling performance on the floor exercise.

Simone Biles took the floor with a smile that had a hint of mischievousness in it.

“When I woke up this morning I walked into Ali’s room and said “I have a very good feeling about today” and she said “me to”, Biles revealed. “Excited, happy, proud of both me and Aly because we both went out there tonight and we did our jobs so I couldn’t ask for anything more”, said Biles.

It was another flawless performance from Biles, whose prodigious talents have earned her comparisons to the legendary Nadia Comaneci, victor of five gold medals during the 1976 and 1980 games. Raisman got emotional as soon as she landed, then told Biles to go out and stick it.

A portion of her floor exercise routine the one that includes her signature tumbling pass is set to Latin music that would fit right at home in the street right outside the Rio Olympic Arena.

“It’s such an honor to be under that name, I don’t know what to think”, Biles said.

But back to Biles and her incredible indiviual all-around performance.

In 2013, Biles invented and was the first female gymnast to perform two back flips followed by a half twist in a laid out, or straight, body position.

For Raisman, claiming silver with a total of 60.098 meant redemption after she suffered a gut-wrenching disappointment to miss out on the bronze four years ago to Russia’s Aliya Mustafina on the tiebreak rule.

“I’m sure most people don’t go into it (the men’s 100m) thinking they can beat Usain Bolt either, so it’s kind of the same thing”.

“I was like, “We got this, baby, ‘” said Aimee Boorman, Biles” personal coach at the Biles-owned World Champions Centre in Spring.

Biles’ talent is unmistakable, but it took time to harness. Not to mention that she’s won 14 total world championships medals-the most ever won by an American woman, reports NBC.

The American led Mustafina by 1.533 going into the final floor rotation on which she is the reigning three-time world champion. Glitter from Biles’ eyes dried on her cheeks.

“I’m sure she will be a big star”.

And now, ladies and gents, we can say Biles is *officially* the best gymnast in the world. The Americans obtained, in the first six days of competition, 35 medals; 13 gold, 12 silver, and 10 bronze.
