Biles, Raisman (and USA Gymnastics) end on high notes
Not far behind her on Tuesday, the last day of artistic gymnastics competition, was USA teammate Aly Raisman, who took the silver with a 15.500. “My knees are hurting and I didn’t even guard him on that play”, Collins said. I know our team has.

Simone is the most decorated American gymnast of all time. “We just wanted to end on a good note”.
Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands and Tori Bowie of the US, the silver medalist in the 100 meters at Rio, are aiming for a showdown Wednesday in the women’s 200 meters.
And on Tuesday evening (16 August), she received what’s probably the biggest surprise of her life – by Zac flying into Rio, and delivering a big ol’ smacker on her cheek. Aww! He also reminded Simone Biles that he kissed her first.
And when we say she’s an admirer of Zac Efron, we mean she’s really an admirer of Zac Efron. “But I’m disappointed in the routine that I did and not so much the whole entire routine, just the front tuck I guess”.
Biles embraced her longtime coach shortly after her routine – which includes a tumbling pass named in her honor and a Brazilian-themed segment meant to play to the crowd in Rio – and beamed when her score of 15.966 was posted. Biles won’t leave Brazil with five golds – something no female gymnast has ever done – and she’s totally OK with it.
Her leading challenge should come from teammate Aly Raisman, the Olympic floor champion, and looking for a sixth Olympic medal over two Games and fourth in gold. Not because Raisman thinks she’s the best. Hernandez accepted the assignment without complaint, her voice among the loudest in the arena during Biles’ gold-clinching floor exercise.

Men’s all-around silver medalist Oleg Verniaiev of Ukraine took gold on parallel bars, followed by Leyva and David Belyavskiy of Russian Federation. The men were denied a medal when they came in fifth in the team all-around. Great Britain’s Jack Laugher won the silver with Patrick Hausding of Germany taking third.
