Bill Belichick ‘disappointed’ in Chip Kelly’s firing

“No, I would not say that”, Lurie said.

Browns fire coach Mike Pettine after 3-13 season
Harbaugh won at least 11 games in three of his four seasons as the 49ers coach and took them to the Super Bowl in the 2012 season. Pettine went 3-13 this season and 10-22 in two years, dropping 18 of his final 21 games after a promising 7-4 start in 2014.

Many people were shocked that it took this long, but Chip Kelly was officially welcomed to life in the National Football League on Tuesday afternoon when the Philadelphia Eagles fired the controversial coach with one week left in the regular season.

Louis van Gaal: Man Utd win can be ‘fantastic’ start to 2016
Arsenal extended its lead of the English Premier League to two points by overcoming Newcastle 1-0 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. I think we played very risky, very attacking, with three defenders, but we wanted to win and scored two fantastic goals today.

“You know you’re going to get a great offensive team out of him”, said wide receiver Bralon Addison, who played in Kelly’s blur offense as a freshman.

NFL Latest: Peyton Manning, officially a backup quarterback
With the loss, the Chargers officially have the No. 3 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. “It was tough on the emotions”, Osweiler said. When Manning was listed as the backup against the Chargers, it was his first backup role since his freshman year at Tennessee.

Kelly was 26-21 in three seasons with the Eagles after signing a five-year, $32.5 million contract to leave the University of OR in 2013.

This is only Philadelphia’s second losing season since 2005, and Kelly’s moves as a psuedo-front-office figure did not work out or match his coaching ability he demonstrated with two-straight 10-win campaigns.

“I think the best approach is a real collaborative approach”, Lurie said.

The Eagles also canned Ed Marynowitz, their vice president of player personnel, and the right hand man of Kelly. Besides, even if the college kids hate Kelly’s system or Harbaugh’s over-competitiveness, they’ll be out in a year or too, and the coaches will have another team of wide-eyed players with big time dreams.

“There are a lot of guys who have been fired that come back and have been very successful, including (New England Patriots coach Bill) Belichick”. I’m not a part of those programs.

“Just a lot of tension up there that didn’t need to happen”, Johnson said, “because when you throw it up there, it does trickle down to the team, and the team knows what’s going on… It’s taken them from a championship caliber team and brought them down to where they’re at”, Gribbin said.

“Because of everything – you have to change the culture. You rarely see that”, he said. “When you’ve coached for 25 years and you have a sense and feel of how you want your locker room to look and type of player you want to put in that locker room, it’s a very hard thing to give up”. “Those role-type players, now that role’s not needed in the new scheme, and a different role’s needed so you need different players”. “I think in today’s world, a combination of all those factors creates the best chance to succeed”. “I don’t buy into that”.

Then in 2003 and 2004, with his program established, the Patriots won back-to-back Super Bowls. “I think he’s a good guy and I think some of the things he does, his forward-thinking, the way he handles practices and things like that; I’ve tried to incorporate some of it, maybe not all of it, but some of the things, some of his ideas. But that wasn’t the case in ’02”.
