Bill Clinton delivers emotional defense of family’s charitable work
The Associated Press found last month that more than half of private individuals who met with Hillary Clinton during her tenure as secretary of state were Clinton Foundation donors – a number that the Clintons have argued lacks context, given how many donors the foundation has and how reputable and non-controversial many of them are.

Clinton’s $260,000 speaking fee wasn’t a donation to the foundation but was reported as personal income – an honorarium – on the candidate financial-disclosure form of his wife, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee.
According to Politico, the Clinton Foundation has alerted “dozens” of staffers inside the Clinton Global Initiative that their jobs will be eliminated at the end of 2016.
Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday the Federal Reserve will do the right thing on interest rates.
Bill Clinton will deliver his final speech Wednesday to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in which he’s expected to defend the Clinton Foundation’s philanthropic efforts overseas.
“The tone will be positive but it will be an inherent rebuke of critics and controversy about the foundation by highlighting how the Clinton Foundation improves lives around the world”, said one adviser. He plans to step down from its board of directors if Hillary Clinton wins in November. It’s unclear how many people will be losing their jobs. I think it’s fair’. In July, newly unearthed emails revealed that Clinton Foundation staffers had asked top State Department officials to provide Foundation donors access to other senior government employees.
So far, the Clinton Global Initiative hasn’t released details on what projects would continue, though some are multi-year commitments, meaning that employees could potentially stay on for years.
The Clinton Foundation’s partner on the project was one of the world’s largest fragrance and flavoring suppliers, Firmenich International SA, along with the Swiss company’s US charity.
‘We informed CGI staff of this transition more than four months before the end of the year, and have provided information about CGI-related roles that will continue, ‘ the spokesman said.

The charity would also change its name from the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation to the Clinton Foundation.
