Almost eight years after the US elected its first African-American president, Clinton locked up the Democratic presidential nomination and became the first woman ever to lead a major political party into the general election.

“It would be great to have a female president”, said Lindsey Freitag of Albert Lea. Clinton would formally accept the nomination on the last day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. It will be his 10th time addressing the DNC.
He has turned into a frequent target for Donald Trump, who has railed about the former President’s personal life from the campaign trail.
And when she does, there’s one question that comes up again and again. “We do expect that there will be some kind of policy effects (too), but it’s hard for us to say what exactly those will be”.
What followed was an escorted tour through Clinton’s career as a lawyer, children’s advocate, first lady of Arkansas and America, senator from NY and secretary of State.
“I want to talk about one barrier that has not been broken”.
Heather Colburn of Madison is a Clinton delegate who says she believes it’s not just little girls, but women who will be hit by the gravity of the moment this week.
“If she is elected president, then it is going to be even stranger to me that I have been close to two presidents of the United States”, Williams said.
“Bill Clinton is someone who can nearly be mesmerizing giving a speech”, Chambless said.
Bill Clinton will still be entering on unchartered waters in a potential Clinton White House, becoming potentially the first man to fill the role – pioneering a new title.
“Him having been president will make a transition for the country into having the first male presidential spouse much easier and much more familiar”, Anthony said, “I don’t think anyone will blink when they see Bill Clinton in a tuxedo and Hillary Clinton in an evening gown on the steps of the North Portico welcoming heads of state”.
“I think, you know, hindsight is 20/20”, Hillary Clinton said of the meeting in an interview with NBC News.
It’s an argument he’s been making as he criss-crosses the country on the campaign trail.
“Clinton Cash, ” the movie that examines how Bill and Hillary Clinton amassed a net worth of $150 million after leaving the White House “dead broke” in 2001, premiered on YouTube (see video below). While campaigning in Kentucky, though, she might have gotten carried away.
His brief boiled down to this: “She’s the best darn change maker I ever met in my entire life”.
Those factors include the president’s control over the country’s military strength (especially in places with nuclear power) and a lack of women in other parts of politics.
