Sanders – who is challenging the former president’s wife, Hillary Clinton, for the Democratic nomination – was asked Sunday on ABC’s This Week about Trump’s willingness to conjure up Bill Clinton’s promiscuous past and his overall treatment of women.

Demers says back in 2012, Clinton rallied voters during the final days of the general election and helped “President Obama seal the deal in New Hampshire”. While some have argued that her husband’s behavior should not affect her chances of winning office, others speculate that Bill Clinton’s past matters for his wife’s political future.

In Exeter, his last public stop of the day in the Granite State, Clinton avoided commenting on the Republicans in the race and focused on his wife’s campaign and her track record, calling her the most prepared and competent candidate in the race.
“That’s the one with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler?” he said.
“[Delay] disliked me more than anybody in Congress”, Clinton said. I mean, “Make America Great Again” platform. “I may be wrong, but I thinks it’s what the American people want”.

Clinton often jokes about having lost the campaigning skills he once had, but he’s still plenty sharp and works rope lines until each and every well-wisher has gotten a handshake and a selfie.
