Bill Clinton jabs at Bernie Sanders, cracks joke at Wall Street’s expense
There was a raucous brawl in Brooklyn on Thursday night as Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders went toe-to-toe in the Democratic debate.

As one writer pointed out, Clinton made more money from one speech than her opponent Bernie Sanders made in an entire year as a US senator.
Mr. Sanders is concentrating his efforts on NY, which votes on Tuesday.
The debate got so disorderly that at one point CNN moderator Wolf Blitzer had to cut in to remind the candidates that “if you’re both screaming at each other, the viewers won’t be able to hear either of you”.
Users of the social media smartphone application Yik Yak gave Clinton her lowest approval rating of this election cycle, 4.6 percent, according to data from the app’s press unit.
Sanders fired back at Clinton, contrasting his modest wealth with Clinton’s multimillion-dollar income, a significant portion of which has come in the form of paid speeches to corporate and interest groups. When she was first asked the question, she completely ignored it and spoke about the other companies that were also involved in the Great Recession. He was a Bill Clinton delegate in 1992 and 1996, and now is supporting Hillary Clinton. They’ve proven to be pretty politically engaged this year: Yik Yak previously reported that more than 12 percent of all messages posted the night of March 3 were about the Republican debate. Taxing the rich sounds well and good, but you can only take so much of people’s money before they start doing things to counteract that.
Polls show Clinton has a strong lead with African-Americans and those who describe themselves as loyal Democrats.
She then pivoted to a disastrous interview Sanders did with the editorial board of the New York Daily News, where he was pressed on specifics about his signature campaign issue, his call to break up the largest Wall Street banks.
It was one of many heated exchanges at the CNN-hosted debate in Brooklyn. And that’s something the Sanders campaign says it is working on.

Days earlier, he got into a fiery exchange with Black Lives Matter protesters over a comment Hillary Clinton made in the 1990s when she called young people who commit violent crimes “super predators”.
