The insertion of “frequently” by the former president in regards to his wife’s fainting spells was caught by Bill Clinton himself, and he attempted to correct his own remark. “Rarely, but on more than one occasion over the last many, many years, the same sorta thing’s happened to her, when she just got severely dehydrated”, the former president said.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, also commented on the health scare issue.
Clinton said her campaign didn’t publicly reveal her diagnosis because “I just didn’t think it was going to be that big of deal”.
“I think really only twice that I can recall”, Clinton said.
Newsbusters, which provided a side-by-side comparison of the two clips, reported that CBS News aired the unedited clip when the interview was replayed on Tuesday morning.
After raising suspicions by leaving a 9/11 memorial service in New York City early on Sunday after becoming “overheated”, Hillary Clinton announced that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.
Rose asked Clinton if the episode in NY in which the Democratic presidential nominee collapsed while being ushered into a van was an indication of more serious health issues.
Describing the likely cause of what happened, Clinton told interviewer Charlie Rose, taking care with each word he chose: ‘Frequently, not frequently … rarely but on more than one occasion over the last many many years – same sort of thing’s happened to her when she’s gotten severely dehydrated, ‘ Clinton said. ‘She looked like a million bucks this morning.
‘I think her lifestyle and her underlying indicators … means it’s nearly certain she’s in better health than her opponent, but we don’t know because he hasn’t disclosed, ‘ he said.
“I could feel how hot and humid it was”. I can tell you she’s feeling a lot better, ‘ Clinton said.

When discussing the Clinton Foundation, Bill Clinton said the organization “bent over backward” to avoid conflicts of interests and even discussed concerns with the White House before his wife became secretary of state.
