With Hillary Clinton still recuperating from pneumonia, it fell to her husband to rally voters at a community college here Wednesday in the battleground state of Nevada.
Always the master orator, Bill Clinton contrasted his measured, positive remarks to his introductory speakers-including state Rep. Ed Gainey, U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle and Allegheny County Councilman Dewitt Walton-and to the emotionally charged rhetoric heard nationally. “And we know that Secretary Rice didn’t do emails”.
“They voted for me”, Clinton said of the places he visited in the late spring – “small-town and rural areas”, he told the crowd, “that have been too poor too long”.
Mr Merrill said the Democratic nominee spent Tuesday reading briefing material, calling aides and watching President Barack Obama campaign on her behalf in Philadelphia.
Clinton adjusted her schedule to catch up on rest after reports that she became overheated Sunday during a 9/11 memorial event in NY.
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is a “smart girl” for not using a private email server during her tenure as the United States’ top ambassador, former President Bill Clinton joked Wednesday.
“How many of you were raised as children with your momma telling you do not ever make a decision when you’re mad, you’ll make a mistake”.
That’s a pretty big admission and insight on Hillary’s health, and may have been a little too much for CBS Evening News honchos, as the interview was edited to exclude the “frequently” remark, making it seem that this hasn’t been a problem for Hillary Clinton in the past.
“We know that what Hillary said about talking to Secretary [Colin] Powell about it was true”, Clinton said. “And keeping her in in a leadership position on the board I think, personally, is very important”.
“So I went down there, I said, look – Hillary sent me here to tell you, if you want to vote to make America great like it was 50 years ago, have at it”.

Clinton has defended her family’s philanthropic organizations against accusations by Donald Trump, her Republican rival, and others that wealthy donors, including foreigners and corporate leaders, might expect favorable treatment from the US government. “It never happened. It just did not happen”, Shalala said.
