Bill Clinton suggests double standard in ‘qualifications’ debate
The former Secretary of State never in fact campaigned in the cowboy state – she sent her husband, former President Bill Clinton, to meet supporters there on her behalf – preferring to spend her time in NY, a far bigger prize, which will hold primary elections on 19 April.

Sanders quickly relayed the word to the crowd of several hundred people, and after a standing ovation, he joked that there are probably more people at his event than live in Wyoming.
Clinton did not mention Wyoming during her remarks, but her aides boasted publicly about splitting delegates with Sanders in the Cowboy State, something they did not think they would do going into the contest.
Sautter says contesting the election results in hopes of winning just one or two additional delegates to the national convention isn’t worth the expense.
Even among Democratic primary voters, only 58 percent saw Clinton as “honest and trustworthy” (89 percent thought this of Sanders) and only 14 percent said they would be “excited” by a Clinton presidency, compared with 33 percent who felt this about a Sanders administration.
Sanders has won seven of the last eight caucuses and primaries, although he still trails Clinton in overall delegates.

While more than 60 percent of Clinton supporters view Sanders favorably, according to the poll, Sanders’ supporters offer an assessment of Clinton that is more mixed – and more negative than in January.
The Democratic Party requires 2,383 delegates and/or super-delegates to clinch the nomination.
The site of the next major primary for both parties, NY is a delegate-rich hunting ground for the remaining five presidential hopefuls.
Speaking later, Sanders – who locked horns with his rival Clinton over trade and the “Panama Papers” scandal this week – said he continued to confound the doubters. The party was investigating who wrote the tweet.
Sanders has dominated in states where Democrats make their presidential preference choice in a caucus – but there are only a few caucuses left on the election calendar. I cut and pasted my statement about Trump from the previous paragraph, which is so very interesting because in both parties the Empire State (New York) and The Big Apple loom so large in the 2016 contest.
Maximum bickering between the Democrats over the minimum wage.
Sanders made a campaign stop Tuesday in Laramie, Wyo, where he held a rally in the college town on the night of his victory in the Wisconsin primary. But when asked whether she was qualified for the White House, Sanders said “of course” and that Clinton “on her worst day” would still be “an infinitely better candidate” than anyone on the Republican side.
“I think he hadn’t done his homework and he’d been talking for more than a year about doing things that he obviously hadn’t really studied or understood”, Clinton said on MSNBC.
“If you want to know what liberal Democratic values are, follow Donald Trump’s checkbook”, he added.
“The longer it takes to dispose of Sanders, the harder it will be for Democrats to take on Trump and Cruz”. She says this was her first caucus.
This is the most extraordinary resistance and rejection of the two front-runners in the same political party that I’ve ever seen.
