Bill Clinton talks email controversy: ‘Biggest load of bull’

Bill Clinton has had enough of this malarkey about Hillary Clinton’s emails.

The letter Cornyn sent to Attorney General Loretta Lynch is in response to a CNN report that said three FBI field offices recommended that an investigation should be launched into a foreign donor of the Clinton Foundation.

“They saw two little notes with a “C” on it – this is the biggest load of bull I ever heard – that were about telephone calls that she needed to make and the State Department typically puts a little “C” on it to discourage people from discussing it in public in the event the secretary of state, whoever it is, doesn’t make a phone call”.

Mrs Clinton’s legal team turned over more than 30,000 emails from her server to the State Department last March, but only after deleting another 30,000 messages that were deemed private and personal.

“It was a sort of headquarters of Clinton Inc., and the fact that they did not draw a strict line between State Department and the Foundation is, to me, astonishing not because it’s quite politically amoral, but because it is so stupid”.

And just at that time, in 2012, she would have conducted job interviews for senior positions for the Clinton Foundation, another illustration of the close links between the Department of State and the Clinton Foundation. Close to the White House when Bill was president, Cheryl Mills was Hillary’s chief of staff when the latter was Secretary of State. James Grimaldi, a Pulitzer-Prize-winning reporter, extensively covered the Clinton Foundation and the USA government for The Wall Street Journal. “The idea that this poses a conflict of interest is absurd”. The State Department OIG has been looking into connections between the State Department and Clinton during her term as Secretary of State since earlier this year, but has not said anything about the matter. These extra sales were part of a broad increase in American military exports that accompanied Obama’s arrival in the White House. On a trip to NY in 2012, Mills interviewed two executives for a top position at the Clinton foundation.

Fernando’s history of campaign giving dated back at least to 2003 and was prolific – and nearly exclusively to Democrats.

Mr Clinton defended the Democratic presidential candidate during a question-and-answer in Las Vegas, arguing it did not occur to diplomats sending emails at the time that they should be concerned with records classification. No one has been investigated more than Hillary Clinton in the history of presidential politics. After Barack Obama bested Clinton for the 2008 nomination, Fernando became a major fundraiser for the Obama campaign.

The problem we now face as a nation, is figuring out exactly what to do with this information. We’ve seen this with her emails and setting up her server.
