Bill Clinton tells a love story to make his case for Hillary

Trump noted that during Bill Clinton’s detailed telling of the story of his life with Hillary Clinton Tuesday at the Democratic National Convention, the former President skipped over a few years-namely, the high-profile scandal with Monica Lewinsky and subsequent impeachment-without getting into specifics.

Many seemed angry at the idea they should vote for Clinton by default, just to stop Donald Trump.

Civil rights icon John Lewis hailed Clinton as a “leader who can unite us as a nation, a leader who can break down barriers”.

Although some Bernie Sanders supporters have insisted his endorsement of Hillary Clinton is a “betrayal” of their movement, their preferred candidate has a long track record of saying he would work to elect Clinton should he lose the nomination battle. Maybe the first to be a citizen.

“Take it from someone who fled the Iron Curtain, I know what happens when you give the Russians a green light”. You did it so others would not have to face them again.

PHILADELPHIA-So everybody thinks Putin wants Trump to win, which he probably does, and that Julian Assange timed his most recent WikiLeaks dump to hurt Hillary right before the convention, which he pretty much did. “I feel that she’s part of the corruption, and I’m against corruption”, McDonald said. Tim Kaine takes the stage to accept the party’s vice presidential nomination.

Detractors view her as too cozy with the establishment and say she carries political baggage dating back to the start of Bill Clinton’s first White House term in the 1990s.

This time, Clinton shattered the glass ceiling she couldn’t crack in 2008.

Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper invited Jim Obergefell, lead plaintiff in Obergefell v. Hodges, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage nationally, to help cast 98 of the state’s 160 votes for Clinton.

But in many ways it was as long and angry as any other in her career. My grandmother told me about how her grandmother could not vote. She is one of the most qualified candidates to ever run for president. She fought terrorism. She stopped the spread of nuclear weapons.

The LGBT community was mentioned just once, when Clinton said “She worked to empower women and girls around the world, and to make the same exact declaration on behalf of the LGBT community in America and around the world”.

“The first time I saw Hillary, she was on TV addressing a panel of men with such confidence and ownership of self”.

Trump took the usual shots at Clinton during a speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Charlotte, North Carolina, calling her “Crooked Hillary” and charging that her use of a private email account as secretary of state “put America’s entire national security at risk”.

A parade of others offered behind-the-scenes glimpses of the former first lady, senator and secretary of state, describing how she drove through a blizzard to attend a funeral, planned birthday parties and visited survivors of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

A proponent of clean energy, Hillary Clinton is known for being a strong advocate of Indo-US ties.

She appointed Indian-Americans to the State Department like Raj Shah, head of USAID, and Richard Verma as the Assistant Secretary of State. Verma is now the US Ambassador to India.

While Brown’s campaign could be easily compared to Sanders’-both ran grassroots, anti-establishment campaigns refusing to accept corporate money-his ultimate impact was not almost as significant.
