Bill Cosby Is Coming for Beverly Johnson
Should he win his case, Cosby seeks to have that chapter removed from the memoir, and wants Johnson to retract every publicly made statement about the supposed incident.

Cosby representative Monique Pressley stated in a press release in that “Mr. Cosby states in that he never drugged defendant and her tale is a lie”. Cosby insists that he never drugged Johnson, and her claims are completely false.
Comedian Bill Cosby has continued his pursuit of legal action against his accusers on Monday (Dec. 21) by filing a lawsuit against model Beverly Johnson.
The lawsuit accuses Johnson of using the media’s attention to her allegations to promote the sale of her memoir, which includes a chapter in which she accuses Cosby of drugging her. “She has repeated [the allegations] to every media publication, newspaper, magazine, or TV show that will hear her”, the statement said, which claims that Johnson is “no stranger to making salacious public allegations”.
“As a result of their false, opportunistic and malicious accusations, Mr. Cosby’s reputation has been irretrievably damaged, and his planned reemergence to network television destroyed as they intended”, that lawsuit stated.
Cosby recently filed a counterclaim for defamation against the seven other women who filed suit in Springfield.
Embattled comedian Bill Cosby has added model Beverly Johnson to the list of women he is taking to court for defamation. Cosby has denied wrongdoing, and most of the accusations are too old to pursue in criminal court.
The Cosby motion says Hill’s complaint doesn’t meet the bar for defamation and notes that the three media comments mention Hill by name.
Hill’s attorney says the response isn’t surprising and her claims remain “viable”. Hill claims that went on for about four years, starting when she was 16, and that Cosby helped pay for her college and would fly her to cities where he was performing and provide her with hotel rooms where he’d have sex with her, until she cut off contact with him.

Court documents unsealed in July showed that Cosby testified in a 2005 deposition that he had obtained Quaaludes pills with the intent of giving the sedatives to young women in order to have sex with them.
