Bill Cosby Quaaludes From Suspended Gynecologist

But it’s the news that broke within the last year that paints Cosby as a sexual predator, when more than 40 women came forward and accused the 78-year-old of drugging and sexually assaulting them.

The Washington Post reports that Cosby obtained his drug of choice, which his attorneys refer to as “disco biscuits”, from Dr.

In the transcript, Cosby says he received seven prescriptions for Quaaludes, all of which were obtained from Amar, a gynecologist, ostensibly for a sore back.

The accuser’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, stated the choice cleared the best way for the litigation introduced by Judy Huth, now in her 50s, to proceed, and that she meant to take Cosby’s sworn deposition inside the subsequent 30 days. And now, thanks to his damning 2005 deposition, we know: he was getting them from his gynecologist.

In California, the medical board revoked Amar’s license in 1979 after finding that he acted with gross incompetence and negligence and had “engaged in the most serious misconduct”. Melon S. Hollis, a former attorney who blames the doctor for his disbarment told the paper that Amar was known to give out pills to his glamorous friends under suspicious circumstances. “He was unscrupulous”.

“In her presence, Amar confronted Cosby, nearly coming to blows”, the attorney said.

“What I am saying is that Mr. Cosby has denied the accusations that have been lodged thus far”.

The men then added; ‘There are countless tales of celebrities, music stars, and wealthy socialites in the 1970s willingly using Quaaludes for recreational purposes and during consensual sex.’.

Amar was a licensed physician and surgeon practicing gynecology and cosmetic surgery in Los Angeles, once serving as the chief of obstetrics and gynecology at a Los Angeles hospital. “In 1974, Amar appeared shirtless in Ebony magazine hawking a weight-loss product called the “‘5 Minute Body Shaper”.

Amar disputed numerous claims and said he would never subject patients to pain.

California disciplinary records for Amar revealed that he often signed off on “dangerous” drugs without even seeing the patient. He also faced legal trouble for tax evasion.
