Bill Cosby sues Beverly Johnson for defamation
In addition to the countersuits he filed last week against seven of his rape accusers, Cosby filed a lawsuit on Monday, Dec. 21 against former supermodel Beverly Johnson for defamation.

It’s no joke: Bill Cosby’s legal team filed a defamation lawsuit against supermodel Beverly Johnson, one of the highest-profile of the more than 50 women who have accused the disgraced comedian of sexual assault.
Johnson – famous for being the first black woman to appear on the cover of AmericanVogue in 1974 – alleges that Cosby drugged her cappuccino in the mid-1980s, but that she was able to stave him off, partly by repeatedly calling him a “motherfucker”.
This lawsuit against Johnson comes a week after Cosby sued seven of his other accusers, also for defamation. This would include removing the chapter from her book and removing unsold copies with the Cosby chapter from circulation, according to Pressley’s statement.
Just when you think the Bill Cosby scandal couldn’t get any yuckier, it hits a new nadir.
She later gave interviews to news programs including ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “Nightline” reiterating her claims.
Earlier this fall, Johnson told various media outlets that she had forgiven Cosby, and that she did not want to be angry anymore. Johnson’s allegations did not involve sexual assault, but the actress claims Cosby spiked her drink with an unknown drug during a meeting at his Manhattan residence in the 1980s.
Cosby claims the accusations have caused him “substantial injuries” and damage to his reputation and character, and he is also demanding unspecified damages in that case.
In his lawsuit, the disgraced actor and comedian wrote he “never drugged defendant and her story is a lie”, USA Today reports. Cosby has denied wrongdoing, and most of the accusations are too old to pursue in criminal court.
The 66-year-old McKee self-filed her lawsuit Monday in Springfield, Massachusetts federal court.

Elsewhere, the Berklee College of Music removed Cosby’s name from a scholarship, and the University of MA at Amherst said Cosby would leave a $300 million fundraising campaign, of which he was honorary co-chair.
