Bill Cosby wife forced to testify in lawsuit
Despite Cosby’s lawyers efforts, Camille Cosby is scheduled to be deposed Wednesday, January 6.

Over the past year, dozens of women have come forward with claims that the comedian had drugged them and assaulted them – igniting outrage and a call for action. Thirty-five women made New York NY magazine’s cover last yr, setting off a social media marketing campaign #TheEmptyChair, which was utilized by others who desired to share their very own tales.
But it’s a civil lawsuit filed by seven that will force Camille Cosby to give a deposition.
In his suit, Cosby is suing seven accusers, claiming they’re tarnishing his reputation for financial gain.

U.S. Judge Magistrate David Hennessey denied a motion Camille filed to throw out a subpoena requiring her to testify. The Post notes that Camille, acting as wife and Cosby’s business manager, instructed her husband’s high-powered attorneys to “get back out in front of this” at the time.
Cosby, 78, was released on $1 million bail.
Though Camille remained publicly supportive of her husband during the scandal, sources told the Post that she’s become wary of her husband in recent weeks, vowing to “no longer be his crutch.”

“But, she has been thoroughly humiliated and believe me, her anger isn’t directed at the women”, the source, who has been close to the Cosby family for more than two decades, said. “He is a kind man, a generous man, a amusing man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend”.
