Bill Murray Will Appear in GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot
If multiple reports are to be believed, the Prince of Darkness is to appear as himself in the forthcoming Ghostbusters reboot. Which especially says a lot when you have Bill Murray getting involved.

Sidebar: this news has also reminded me of that god terrible Adam Sandler movie Little Nicky, in which Ozzy Osbourne appeared as himself and bit the head of a dude for some reason my brain has conveniently forgotten.
In the original Ghostbusters films, Murray portrayed the character Dr. Peter Venkman. Murray was always up for the idea of a new “Ghostbusters” starring females and he even had several suggestions of actresses he liked (the film eventually landed two of them), so perhaps his appearance is another way for the Murricane to co-sign on the project.
Dan Aykroyd’s been quite vocal in his support for rebooting the film with women comedians in the role and, likewise, Ernie Hudson has been supportive too. Bill Murray seems to have gotten over his well-known reticence to return to the Ghostbusters franchise (since Ghostbusters II’s tepid reception). In fact, he even told David Letterman earlier in 2015 that much of his hesitation came from the fact that the second film was not as well received by the fans as the very first movie.

“Ghostbusters” is really becoming the most hyped ensemble cast movie of 2016. Feig’s film, which also has Chris Hemsworth, Michael Kenneth Williams, Andy Garcia, Cecily Strong, Matt Walsh, Nate Corddry and Neil Casey in its cast, will arrive in UK cinemas on July 22 next year.
