Bill Nye Addresses Anti-Abortion Politicians In New Video

In his passionate plea to politicians, he explains: ‘If you’re going to hold that as a standard, that is to say, if you’re going to say when an egg is fertilized, it therefore has the same rights as an individual, then whom are you going to sue?

Every young lady who’s created a fertilized egg cell undergo her? Every woman who’s had a fertilized egg pass through her?

“Many, many, many, many more hundreds of eggs are fertilized than become humans”, he says.

Bill Nye, commonly known as’The Science Guy” has featured in a new CNN video in which he pleads with worldwide lawmakers to “stop telling women what to do with their bodies’ and consider the scientific facts behind reproduction. But for Nye, the concept is rather simple: When it comes to women’s reproductive rights, you should leave it to women. Recommending or insisting on abstinence has been completely ineffective. “I mean, she has rights over this, especially if she doesn’t like the guy that got her pregnant”. Nye also said that closing abortion clinics and limiting birth control would not lead to healthy effect on society, and that women alone, should decide what to do with their bodies.

Nye points out scientific facts, focusing primarily on the fact that eggs fertilize frequently and that it’s illogical to protect a fertilized egg over the interests of the woman. During September’s Republican debates, presidential candidates urged fellow Republicans to do everything in their power to defund Planned Parenthood, some going as far as encouraging a government shutdown. Last year, Nye recorded a similar video for Big Think talking about his increasingly infuriating experiences against skeptics and deniers both in the general population and in the media.

The inventor creates: “When you are looking at to effectively women’s consideration with value to really replica, I do think you need to turn the job over in to women”.
