Uhm, and I normally don’t cover a lot of media stories, but obviously the upheaval going on there with the CEO and its biggest star ousted because of sexual harassment, not just an issue at Fox News channel, but an issue across the country.

It’s possible that O’Reilly’s team does in fact have other evidence of a smear campaign, but it’s unclear why they thought the conference calls might sway the Murdochs.
“The O’Reilly Factor” host had recently signed a four-year deal at Fox News valued at $100 million, people with knowledge of the contract said.
“I think that the sexual harassment thing is used as a club, as I said, by many women”. He should have been fired then. My contract wasn’t renewed, that’s the line.
The women accused O’Reilly for abusing them verbally and giving them vulgar comments.
While the “Late Show” host wasn’t sad to see Bill O’Reilly go, he brought back his conservative pundit persona Stephen Colbert, who felt differently.
Ultimately, it appears that O’Reilly and his team ended up declining to alert Rupert Murdoch and other 21st Century Fox leadership about Bonner’s email and Media Matters’ “conspiracy” – at least right away.

And, more than that, about 21st Century Fox’s$14 billion bid for the British satellite service Sky TV, which depends on the British government finding the corporation to be a “fit” steward.
