Bill’s pitch: Hillary is uniquely qualified, best change-maker
As roll call was underway at the Democratic National Convention arena to nominate Hillary Clinton, protesters gathered a handful of miles away.

Bill Clinton gave a long, personal speech about Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention-how they met, how he bought their first house, what it was like dropping their daughter off at college. See the former president’s full speech above. “Democracy and the Supreme Court are at stake”, she added.
Hours before he spoke, his wife passed the 2,382 delegates needed to claim the nomination after South Dakota announced its delegate vote count. “This is about saving our children”, she said.
Many Sanders supporters also believe Clinton is too closely linked to Wall Street firms and still favors trade deals that hurt American workers, even as she has disavowed her original support for the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.
“Are you ready to elect the first woman president of the United States?” asked California Senator Barbara Boxer, who answered her own question: “I am beyond ready”.
But the move by Sanders did not go over well with some of his supporters who staunchly oppose Clinton and have not accepted his calls for them to support her.
Because it’s important that the voters of New Hampshire feel that their vote counted.
Others complained that not all of Sanders’ primary votes were counted. Does the superdelegate system need to be changed?
“In the spring of 1971 I met a girl”, he began, describing her as a fellow law student who caught his eye in part because of her “big blonde hair and big glasses”, noting that she wore “no makeup”. The Clinton campaign called McAuliffe wrong and said she would not reverse herself on the issue. He humanized a candidate that so few people know. A lot of her positions have been modified and she’s now embracing the principles and goals of the Sanders campaign. “I think Donald Trump is diametrically opposed to all of the things they care about”. Democracy and the Supreme Court are at stake. You can also find record of him talking about climate change as if it’s serious.
From FactCheck.org: On a night headlined by President Bill Clinton’s admiration for his wife – the now official Democratic nominee – there was a less-than-glowing treatment of some facts. It’s hard when you lose an election.

Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri told ABC News, “You can’t ever really know” when emails will be leaked, but “it’s part of the reason why we wanted people to understand our belief that the Russians are behind this, because people understand when these leaks happen what they’re created to do”. Yesterday, the executive committee of the DNC said they were not aware of what was going on. Bernie Sanders still simmering over his defeat.
