Billie Piper is ‘turning to ex-husband Chris Evans’ after split

In the wake of her divorce to actor Laurence Fox, Billie Piper is reportedly turning to her first husband, Chris Evans, as a shoulder to cry on. When she met Laurence, who’s part of the Fox “acting dynasty”, she said she fell madly in love. But with a 16-year age gap, they realised they weren’t right for each other and separated in 2004.

Piper, star of Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, was previously married to presenter Chris Evans, to whom she tied the knot in 2001 after a six-month romance.

“She’s been leaning on Chris as the marriage began to go wrong”.

The couple married at St Mary’s Church in Easebourne, West Sussex in December 2007, a year after they met while performing together in a stage production. She seems to stay friends with all her exes’.

But they also appeared as one of the happiest pairings in showbiz, with Billie telling a recent interviewer how this marriage had brought her stability and “fun” after the turmoil of her teenage years, when she became an overnight pop sensation with “Because We Want To”.

A statement on his official Facebook page said no-one else was involved and that they needed “space and privacy”. No third parties are involved.

‘For the sake of our family we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time’.

“I love every single Johnny Cash song, this one particular because I think he means it. Right up until he says “Jesus”. Even though my marriage to Chris didn’t work, I still don’t consider it a failed marriage – it just came to its natural end.

And earlier this month, Fox had described his “perfect night” in an interview, saying it would be: ‘Sitting next to my wife, watching telly, taking it easy with a glass of wine and a Thai chilli and basil stir-fry chicken.
