Bills baffled as Brady beats them with ‘the same plays’

After his team lost to the New England Patriots on Sunday, Rex Ryan admitted that he was outcoached by Bill Belichick in a game that really wasn’t as close as the 40-32 final indicated. Tom Brady and Gronkowski are beginning their sixth season together and seem to be in flawless sync. This is what they do and have done over the last 15 years. “We’ve had a tough offseason, training camp and early season here”.

Or are they the team that let Tom Brady throw for the most yards in franchise history while collecting penalties as if they were rare coins. Bills DT Marcell Dareus and Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount both returned after serving one-game suspensions for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy… “I’m gonna take the rest of them personal too”.

“I think, overall, we did a good job of controlling our emotions, ” said Slater, a team captain for the fifth straight season. “But it starts with me getting better and looking forward to next week”. “It plays right into their hands”.

“If you have no poise, no focus, you get caught up in all the BS and that’s what they do”.

This is new to the Bills.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (87) celebrates a touchdown during the first half against the Buffalo Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

This isn’t to say America loves the Patriots, or even likes them.

While that is a very true statement, Lewis, the guy who Rex Ryan publicly joked about not knowing his name, torched Bradham and the Bills. According to Pro Football Focus, Brady was averaging two seconds between the snap and the throws. The Patriots mixture of short routes, check downs, and long balls all combined for a phenomenal day throwing the football. Yet, their aversions toward the opposing team did not help them.

Until they absolutely needed it, the Bills hardly passed. The big bad Patriots were up next.

For a while it looked like everything would go the Buffalo Bills’ way on Sunday afternoon against the New England Patriots. Nonetheless the Buffalo Bills coach must be asked to restrain himself. Including of course, the players… Do you think experience benefitted your team at all? It’s not like there’s a magic play you can call, like, “All right, this is guaranteed to gain us 10 yards.’ It’s just run, pass. It just comes down to good execution”.

“I think today probably more than any other game in my career is as teachable and as much of a learning experience for everybody on our team”.

“They had told me that he had landed on the side of his neck and he was motionless while he was down”, Duke Williams said. There’s no denying Buffalo played with too much edge and not enough composure. “We had a player thrown out of bounds after a play was over, and we got a 15-yard penalty”. “Win, lose, or draw the sun’s going to come up tomorrow and we’ve got to get ready to play the Dolphins next week”.

“The best part, it is the second week”. We’re going to need that. You don’t know what is going to happen.

He’s saved most of his best lines for Belichick and the New England Patriots, maybe out of some barking dog effort to get a reaction, or to feel like he’s on equal footing, or to simply gain acknowledgement from the stoic champion across the way. But we did a horse [bleep] job and it’s my responsibility. “We just got to be smart, we got to learn to walk away from things and that’s what we’ll do”.

“I’m embarrassed”, Williams said, following the game.

Ryan burst onto the scene in 2009 and led the Jets to a stunning 16-9 victory over the Patriots in just his second game as the head coach, but he’s been on a losing end against Belichick’s bunch more often than not.
