Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson is facing a four-game NFL suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The person spoke on the condition of anonymity on Wednesday because the suspension is being appealed and the National Football League has not announced its ruling.
Schefter reports that Henderson’s suspension “is related to a treatment” for his Crohn’s Disease, although the particular substance isn’t cited.
Henderson missed the final five games of last season after he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory condition that affects the digestive system. In April, he had surgery to have his intestine re-attached. He was able to play in Washington for the team’s third preseason game, but sat out all last week of practice.

Henderson worked with the second-stringers on Wednesday a day after he returned to practice.
On Tuesday, Henderson said he’s “feeling normal” and “everything checked out fine”.
For the Bills, the suspension cements what has been a very rough offseason for them in terms of suspensions. The Bills have had other issues with substance abuse suspensions this year with defensive tackle Marcell Dareus opening the year on the suspended list and since-released running back Karlos Williams earning a four-game penalty while he was still a member of the team. His stock in the draft plummeted after Henderson openly acknowledged he had a history of marijuana use. He was suspended several times while at the University of Miami and admitted that marijuana was the basis for those suspensions.

The Bills selected Henderson with their seventh-round pick in 2014.
