Bills missing 2 starters on offensive line vs Watt, Texans

This play versus that play, I don’t know. I think I’m taking the Texans here, if I have to. That’s no difference. Like I said, whenever you’re doing what you’ve been doing, you’re not teaching new tricks to an old dog per se.

After such an impressive game against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, you can nearly guarantee that Tyrod Taylor will lean heavily on Sammy Watkins this Sunday.

“Every game is different, very creative”, O’Brien said of Buffalo’s defense. “And they picked a good player, the offensive lineman from USC (Tyron Smith), who is a good player, but he’s not J.J. Watt and my brother was there”.

Ryan said on Wednesday that Watt is “probably the top player in the league”. At their respective paces, Williams would finish with just under five sacks (the lowest total since he had 4.5 as a rookie with the Texans in 2006), while Hughes would have just under 4.5. The best thing to do right now is to bench Williams and hold onto him just in case he’s ready in time for the fantasy postseason next week.

The Bills have one of the best 1-2 combinations in the league at running back when both LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams are healthy at the same time, but they’ve missed five combined games and Williams is questionable this week, so good health hasn’t been on their side. Mills started for most of the 2013 and 2014 seasons in Chicago while Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was the Bears’ offensive coordinator/offensive line coach.

Williams’ absence will leave the Bills with just two running backs on the active roster – until, that is, they elevate Mike Gillislee from the practice squad (they’ll have to release a player to do so) so that they have a third tailback on Sunday. I think we are one big J.J. game this Sunday away from him being back onto the fringe of the MVP conversation, and a monster game against Brady and the Patriots could vault begin the stretch run on a campaign to another Defensive Player of the Year.

That would be the side across from which Watt is expected to line up for most of the game.
