PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Chase Utley got curtain calls after each of his two home runs – including a grand slam – in his first game in Philadelphia since a trade last season to the Los Angeles Dodgers. “… We’re going to stand by him, but he has to hold up his end of the bargain”.

“I was like, ‘Where is he?’ Cardinals tackle D.J. Humprhries said. Words don’t mean anything now”, Dareus said. “It’s all action. And that’s all I’m going to do”.

“From ownership down, we have made it clear his behavior is unacceptable”, the Bills said in a statement.

“I’m frustrated and disappointed, as is everybody in this organization”, said Bills head coach Rex Ryan.

The 2015 suspension stemmed from his arrest on May 5, 2014, after Dareus was pulled over by a State Trooper for speeding on Interstate 20 in Cleburne County. The NFL considers those positive tests and the league’s punishment is automatic.

Dareus, was the third pick in the 2011 draft and has been the Bills best defensive player. “There’s going to be people that will never give him the benefit of the doubt anymore”, Ryan said. We want to see this be a thing that’s behind him. Dareus, who will be eligible to rejoin the team October 3 after Buffalo plays at New England, becomes Buffalo’s second player to earn a four-game suspension to open this season after backup running back Karlos Williams was banned last month for the first four games of 2016 for violating the substance abuse policy.

These are just the latest dominoes to fall in what has been a disastrous month for the Buffalo defense, which already lost linebakcers Reggie Ragland and IK Enemkpali to season-ending ACL tears.

However, Lawson’s agent, Jonathan Feinsod, tweeted Tuesday evening that “there is absolutely no truth” Lawson was involved in domestic violence.

Both were projected to start.

On the offensive side of the ball, Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins is still healing from a broken foot and running back Karlos Williams is suspended by the National Football League for the first four games of the 2016 regular season.

Dareus can still practice with the team, and when he showed up today he was nearly flippant about it.
