Bills signee IK Enemkpali issues apology for QB punch

“I apologize for what happened”. It was never my intention to harm anyone.

The second-year player arrived at camp earlier in the day and passed his physical.

“I really don’t want to get into all of that”, he said. “I look forward to being a good teammate, an accountable player”. He was then escorted off the field by two team employees. “Shortly after getting the Bills job, he wondered out loud to friends whether the Jets would be open to trading Smith to Buffalo”.

The New York Jets are exploring veteran options to back up quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Like so many people over the years, I attended a New York Jets game Thursday to see if anybody got punched in the face. “You fight and hit somebody on the field, I don’t think it got bad out here, but you want to prevent it before it started”.

“It was an unfortunate incident”.

“Depending on how surgery goes, we’ll see where we go from there”, Bowles said.

Bills players also backed up the decision, with running back Fred Jackson telling the team website that Enemkpali has “a clean slate with us”.

Unlike the Jets and Enemkpali, Bills general manager Bill Polian and Coach Marv Levy decided not to part ways with their combative assistants.

Though the punch was described as a “sucker-punch”, nobody knew the source, other than Smith reportedly put his finger in his Enemkpali’s face.

Enemkpali had three sacks in six games last season after being taken in the sixth round out of Louisiana Tech. Fans likely wanted to see more of Fitzpatrick as he will be the man in charge following Smith’s decision to get surgery after a locker room fight left him with a broken jaw. Fitzpatrick, acquired in a trade with the Houston Texans, missed a good chunk of the offseason as he recovered from a broken leg. He’s not as sharp or as strong as he’ll need to be for the regular season, but he felt “comfortable” in his Jets debut.

“NFL Media’s Rand Getlin reported Wednesday, per a source close to the situation, the Jets and Vick’s agent discussed the potential of a reunion, but both sides determined it wasn’t the right fit”. “You can’t make this up!”

Several photos that the New York Post captured showed Smith tossing a ball around without a shirt on.

This is yet another incident that raises questions about Smith’s maturity. “I’m just happy to be here, and thankful”. In a message posted on his Twitter account, Poloncarz wrote: “As a season ticket holder and fan my personal opinion is this pickup is embarrassing. “We’re going to do what is in the best interests of this team”.
