Bills to wear all-red uniforms for first time in team history

Well, technically, it won’t be Christmas, but there will be Christmas colors on the field when the Jets host the Bills on November 12.

Fresh off the heels of their unveiling last night, meet the NFL’s first two uniforms from their “Color Rush” series.

New jerseys became a trending topic on twitter under the hashtag #ColorRush.

These new uniforms may make you see red…but they’re also seeing a lot of green because of them at the Bills store at the stadium.

Next week, the uniforms for the Week 11 game between the Jaguars and Titans will be revealed, followed by the Week 12 game between the Cowboys and Panthers, and finally the Week 13 game between the Buccaneers and Rams. Although the unis don’t seem to be a big hit with fans, they do celebrate something that’s pretty cool if you’re old enough to remember having a black and white TV.

According to Nike, the National Football League ran its first-ever color broadcast of a regular season game on Thanksgiving Day, 1965. The uniforms aren’t from the ’80s or ’90s, but they sure do look like they are.

Noting that the Jets will be wearing their own version of a color rush uniform, which is entirely green, Klein added, “It’ll be sort of a Christmassy flavor out there next Thursday night”. Kick off time is 8:25 p.m., with the game airing on the NFL Network.
