Bills vs. Eagles: Full Philadelphia Game Preview

Imagine what Tom Brady might do. According to Mike Reiss of ESPN, Gronkowski was not practicing on Wednesday, but the Boston Herald reported that Gronkowski was able to return on Thursday.

Regardless, I’ll take my chances with New England and the low chalk, as history is on our side here. Collins let the offense have one more chance to literally drop the ball.

STAKES: Despite their struggles, the Eagles are only one game back in the NFC East. After New England, Philadelphia plays Buffalo and Arizona before finishing up with division games against NFC East rivals, and co-leaders, Washington and the New York Giants (both 5-6). The Eagles offense didn’t put up big numbers.

“It’s a good problem to have when you have some backs that when you used all three of them, all three of them are productive for you”, Kelly said. But they made plays when they needed to. Turning to the Texans defense, there are several areas to keep an eye on. “It feels great”, said Newton who threw five touchdown passes.

Andy Dalton (25 TDs, 6 INTs) appears primed to get that playoff monkey off his back. Riley Cooper’s third down catch in the fourth quarter was a punch in the stomach as the the Pats tried to rally.

Ryan Allen’s punt was blocked by Chris Maragos.

That’s when the Patriots receivers dropped three passes in a row to turn the ball over on downs.

There’s a fine line between aggressive and arrogant, New England crossed it Sunday. Almost everyone who pledges allegiance to the Patriots likely talked about a 16-0 regular season during their Thanksgiving dinner. The Patriots are in a trial-and-error stage in which they are trying to figure out what they can rely on. Hopefully they come out with the same fight but I’m not going to count on it, instead I will do the wait and see approach. They lost back-to-back games early that season, but the second loss came in Baltimore.

This was an incredibly frustrating loss. New England won eight of its nine games following the two-game skid with a point margin of plus-102.

The criticism of Chip Kelly might have reached a crescendo during the past two weeks, but the bandwagon could welcome passengers with the Eagles within striking distance of first place. They fought all the way.

Sure, the team is banged up and missing key players, but no blaming the officials this week. But it was the Broncos defense that shocked and awed the Chargers’ Philip Rivers thanks in large part to Von Miller, who picked up the slack with Demarcus Ware and T.J. Ward sidelined with two sacks, a forced fumble and recovery.

Worth mentioning that this specific officiating crew, led by referee Pete Morelli, was the one reportedly moved by the National Football League from the Sunday night game to the Eagles-Patriots game in response to numerous errors in the previous week’s Cardinals-49ers contest.
