Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies, Chocolate Chip Muffins and Variety Pack due to the presence of small pieces of plastic. The products also include Little Bites Variety 20-packs with a “best by” date of September 24 and UPC code 7203001799. One injury was reported.
It’s part of a larger recall also affecting the company’s Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies, Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins and the Little Bites Variety Pack distributed to at least 30 states across East, South and Midwest.
The “best by” date on both products is October 8, with the code number “3098” printed next to the date on the box. No other products were concerned.
Bimbo Bakeries, Entenmann’s parent company, pinpointed the issue after receiving customer complaints about plastic pieces in their snacks, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
