It probably comes as no surprise to fans who have been watching this season that 17-year-old Bindi Irwin was named the victor, after being not only a fan favorite but a favorite of the judges since the beginning.

Irwin was visibly shocked when she learned she had won the coveted mirrorball trophy alongside professional partner Derek Hough. But Dad, I know you walk beside me always and your strength lives within me.

Irwin has wowed week after week on “DWTS“, dedicating multiple dances to her late father, Australian wildlife expert Steve Irwin, including Monday night’s freestyle performance. I can’t believe I’m here. “It wasn’t an easy decision and it was hard because I feel like, if not a father, a bit of an uncle to these guys and he was struggling with it so much”, Wade said.

Kerry Grace Benn said on the Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog that the show’s finals were competitive and she was pleased with the results. He changed his mind the last minute and chose to come back for another shot at the mirror ball trophy.

After discovering that she was the show’s new champion, she said: “I am so speechless right now!”. “[DWTS] is such a special experience that you don’t really think about all the bruises and the skin coming off of your feet like a flesh-eating disease”.

Bindi also plans on taking some college courses and working with animals at the zoo now that she is done with the reality series, according to USA TODAY.

Ahead of the show, Ms Irwin tweeted the last photo of her with her mum and dad before his death.
