Despite copious signage and literature in Yellowstone National Park warning visitors not to get too close to the wildlife, despite warnings from park officials that bison can sprint three times faster than humans and are unpredictable and unsafe, tourists still feel like it is absolutely necessary to their vacation to get selfies with fucking bison at Yellowstone.

The woman from Mississippi and her daughter had their backs to the bison when they tried to take photos. The woman sustained minor injuries.
The unsafe encounter was the fifth run-in this year between park-goers and buffalo at the park, which prohibits people from getting within 25 yards of bison.
The park service revealed what happened in a statement Wednesday when the bison attacked the woman in Yellowstone.
“The [woman] said they knew they were doing something wrong but thought it was OK because other people were nearby”, park spokeswoman Amy Bartlett said.
Given their impressive body size, it’s pretty obvious that, when upset, bison can inflict serious injuries on whoever was foolish enough to upset their otherwise peaceful life. The bison moved on after the woman’s father came to her aid. Attempt to take a selfie with such a majestic beast, not in a million years.

Park staff caution that wild animals should not be approached, regardless of how tame or calm they may appear.
Park rules say people should stay at least 75ft (23m) away from the bison.

Yellowstone is the only place in the United States where bison continue have lived since prehistoric times.
