Bisping wins split decision over Leites

There’s no shortage of fighting talent in the UFC, that’s what makes it such a great organisation and that’s why I’m so proud to be a part of it. Dunham snapped a three-fight skid of his own in January with a decision win over Rodrigo Damm at UFC 182. No longer a one dimensional grappler, Leites has improved his striking and has knockout power in both hands.

Bisping: To be honest, I really don’t. He knows how to turn up the arrogance for the camera, and he talks as good of a game as any. I’ve been watching his old fights and his recent fights and he doesn’t look any different. She is a talented striker but still a little raw and could leave herself open to big shots. He’s not particularly varied. “I will fight for sure, definitely, and I think Bisping comes to fight as well”.

Although he flagged early before reality cameras, losing in the elimination round of “TUF 14” to future featherweight standout Dennis Bermudez, the win was Rivera’s 16th straight as a pro, while Brimage suffered his fourth loss in five fights and could face a pink slip from the UFC. He calls himself “The Barbarian” for crying out loud. I’m just looking forward to Saturday now. I think this is going to be a war and so I hope he is ready. Is that a concern of yours?

Bisping’s footwork and high volume of strikes won him the first two rounds, as it took awhile for Leites to get comfortable with the range. The UFC has no set policy on shepherding fighters into contendership status. Do you think it has any impact on your fight against Leites and what are your thoughts on it longterm? That’s just human nature.

“There’s always pressure on me as a fan favourite but there is extra pressure with it being the first show in Scotland”. He’s a big, strong man and he’s going to want it.

ESPN: In a post on Instagram, you accused Leites of being involved in the worst fight in UFC history (a title fight against Anderson Silva in April 2009).

And in all that time, he has never received a title shot.

Bisping: They were not my words.

“This was just a dream for me to reach this level and I’m here now and just can’t wait”. It did suck, though.

“I’m unbeaten when I fight in Britain, but I haven’t fought here for five years “It’s been far too long and as soon as I heard the UFC was finally coming to Scotland, I begged Dana to put me on the bill””. I don’t want to be one of these guys. Thousands of fanatics will cram into the venue to see a host of contests ahead of the headline act of England’s Michael Bisping taking on Brazilian Thales Leites. He’s fought for the title before, and being a Brazilian jujitsu world champion he’s very risky on the floor. That’s all I can say about that. Even if he’s successful, I’ll be pretty effective at getting back to my feet. Everybody said “he’s finished, he’s done” about me. “I felt I was a frustrated kid so when I went to training I got a lot of stress out”. It’s as simple as that.

But when he was given a chance to shine, he was presented with opponents who were not clean, even though the law dictated they were. But that’s not what I’m trying to do, cash out before the end of my career.
