The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday escalated protest against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley demanding his resignation over the alleged irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). That report confirmed several instances of wrongdoings but did not fix responsibility, he posted. Sorry. I won’t oblige them. “CBI and probe agencies like ED and DRI should carry out an extensive inquiry into the DDCA affairs”, he said.
“Advani resigned till he was let off by courts, and here this man ( Arun Jaitley) what is he doing?” Taking to twitter, Kejriwal said, “No clean chit ever given by any Del govt probe. It didn’t mention ANYONE’s name n recommended Enquiry Commission to fix responsibility, which we have done now”, Kejriwal added. The Chair decides who will speak, he tweetedon Sunday.
The advocate said he will investigate the facts about the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) finances to the “best of my ability” and “arrive at conclusions which would stand scrutiny in front of any judicial forum”.
Charged with anti-party activities over his attack on Finance Minister, he said that he was neither against BJP nor Jaitley.
Claiming to have done a personal investigation in the cricket body, Azad said, “I would like to tell the CBI that I have already done all the investigation”.
Do not bring Jaitley into this.
Meanwhile, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said that although the report on the DDCA did not name anyone, it certainly did not give a clean cheat to Jaitley who headed the board for over 13 years till 2013.
