Referring to the report of the probe ordered by the Delhi government into affairs of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), BJP spokesperson M J Akbar told reporters here that it does name Jaitley. Without any mention of Jaitley anywhere in the report, the committee made host of observations about alleged irregularities by DDCA which include construction of the corporate boxes without prior approval of the authorities and complaints of forgery in age-verification certificates. “Don’t bring Arun Jaitley into this”.
Mr Azad was suspended by the BJP last week for his attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. “Let be cross-examined in defamation cases”.
“The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) report that we have been hearing about asked the DDCA multiple times for the documents but only few documents were provided”, Kirti Azad said.
“Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had hinted that Jaitley should follow the example of L K Advani, who stepped down in the wake of hawala allegations against him, till he came out clean”, Ashutosh said.
Dismissing the BJP’s demand for an aopology, Sisodia raised a number of questions on financial irregularities in DDCA’s functioning and in giving tenders for work already done. The panel in its report didn’t identify Jailtey which triggered confrontation between BJP and AAP, with the previous demaning a public apology from Kejriwal. “But there are names in the report…You don’t run Government with tamasha (drama)”, he said.
“Congress is out on bail in the Rs 5,000 crore case”.
Dismissing suggestions that the panel had not gone into the accusations against individuals, Akbar said the panel’s mandate had been “to prepare summaries of irregularities, if any, by DDCA, its officials and members”.

He claimed that AAP was diverting attention from the key issues of governance on which the city Government has failed.
