Referring to the political crisis in Arunachal and Uttarakhand, she accused the Modi government of dislodging democratically-elected Congress governments “with the use of money power”.

“Modi is involved in it, he wants to fix them”, he said, adding that it would not happen as there was no truth in the allegations being levelled gainst Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi. “The way the Modi Government is playing a fraud on the mandate, it seems its days are numbered”, the Congress president said.
The BJP said the “loktantra bachao” march of the the Congress in the state capital on Friday was meant to save the (Gandhi) “dynasty” and divert public attention from the AgustaWestland chopper deal.

The twin objectives will be to hit back at the government for dragging Gandhis into the scam as also to highlight the drought and agrarian crises that has led to a spate of suicides by farmers and affected 40 crore people in several states. The Congress says that the documents which are notes and letters exchanged by middlemen show nothing other than listing influential leaders which, it says, would naturally be from the Congress because it was in the government at the time.
