The bag contained an AK-47 with its serial number scratched off, two AK-47 magazines, live ammunition, two 9mm factory-made pistols and their ammunitions.

The assailants fired almost 100 rounds from AK-47 rifles out of which at least 5 bullets hit 49-year old Teotia.
According to police, the incident took place in Ravali Road at 7.30 pm, while the BJP leader was returning from a function in Muradnagar.
Senior police officials from Meerut range including those from Ghaziabad immediately rushed to the spot and took Teotia and his companions to a local hospital. “Weapons used in the attack have been recovered”, said Daljeet Chaudhary, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order. All the injured were admitted to Sarvodaya Hospital in Ghaziabad. Tevatia and his gunner driver was then referred to Fortis Hospital due to the grave injuries. The fifth injured person has been identified by police as Indrapal Singh. Three or four men travelling with Teotia have also sustained bullet injuries. He was wheeled into the emergency ward of the Fortis Hospital at the time of filing this report.
The auto that belonged to the assailants who shot at Senior BJP leader Brijpal Teotia and five others in Ghaziabad has been recovered on Friday. Preliminary investigations reveal that AK-47s were used by the attackers. We are investigating all angles. Police are suspecting it to be a case of personal enmity. Their condition is said to be critical.

BJP leader Brijpal Teotia has been a member of the Kisan Morcha of BJP for the past several years in Uttar Pradesh. He had unsuccessfully contested the 2012 UP assembly elections on a BJP ticket from Muradnagar constituency.
