BJP MP Kirti Azad suspended from party for targeting Arun Jaitley
But the action comes in the wake of allegations levelled by him on Arun Jaitley for alleged corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). In his statement to the media today he said, “I want the PM to tell me what my fault is”.

Azad also said that while the Finance Minister himself slapped no defamation case against him, the party acted.
Azad claimed that several dubious transactions took place during Jaitley’s tenure as DDCA chief. Party sources said further action will depend on his response to the notice.
The Parliamentary Board’s communication to Azad said he had been breaching the party’s discipline over the past few months and continued with anti-party activities.
“Clean Sports India strongly condemns the action of BJP to suspend Kirti Azad who is fighting against corruption in DDCA”, the CSI said in a statement. He will be helping Azad in drafting his reply to the suspension notice.
Last Monday, a day after Azad addressed a press conference regarding corruption in the DDCA, which was headed by Jaitley till 2013, he embarrassed the BJP in the Parliament by demanding a time-bound SIT probe into the allegations, while the Congress pressed for Jaitley’s resignation.
Rahul Gandhi, however, refused to take any question on other issues faced by the nation including the latest controversy related to fresh arrival of ‘shilas’ for construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The constitution of the Margdarshak Mandal past year was seen as a move by the current BJP leadership to sideline the veterans, who have been denied an active role in the party’s affairs.
Azad also denied that he was acting in collusion with the Congress or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which too have taken on Jaitley over the DDCA issue. “He (Jaitley) is in the thick of budget discussions and can not be subject to an MP’s constant sniping”, a veteran said.
Another party leader Subramanian Swamy has also come out in support of Azad. Sources said the seniors decided they must “intervene meaningfully” to “stem the damage arising from Kirti’s suspension” yesterday but would stick to BJP forums to air their views.

Soon after Azad had alleged that payments into crores was allotted to ghost companies, Kirti Azad, lawmaker from Bihar was suspended by BJP party head Amit Shah on Wednesday morning.
