BJP & Saffron Organisations Squash Azad For Comparing Islamic State With RSS
Hitting out at Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad for trying to draw a parallel between the RSS and terrorist outfit ISIS, Union Minister Jitendra Singh today alleged the Congress leaders were suffering from “RSS phobia” as the party was fast losing its ground.

Azad had yesterday drawn a parallel between the RSS and the worldwide terrorist organisation ISIS, evoking sharp responses from the Hindutva outfit and BJP, which demanded an apology from him.
Addressing a meeting of religious minorities and opposition parties held under the aegis of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Azad said, “We oppose ISIS with equal might as we oppose the RSS”. “If those among us in Islam too do wrong things, they are no way less than RSS”.
Another BJP spokesman Nalin Kohli also slammed the Congress leader for his statement and said “is he (Azad) forgetting all the social services RSS do during natural calamities” . The party had said it was “unfortunate” that Azad had made such comments and asked Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to disassociate from his remarks and take action against him if he does not withdraw them. “Only mentally bankrupt person can compare RSS with ISIS”.
“Mr Azad’s remarks shows the intellectual bankruptcy of the Congress. Congress president Sonia Gandhi should apologise to the nation and try to save her party from imminent decline by throwing Azad out of the Congress”, Dr Jain said. She underscored the need to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to fight it. Powers that be are spreading hatred. It is a matter of concern. He also lauded roles played maulanas and ulemas for their contribution towards country’s freedom struggle right from 1857.

BJP leader Sharma retorted, terming Gandhi’s message as “politically motivated ” .
