The reports released Thursday say eight were arrested on charges ranging from unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct to obstructing police during a Black Lives Matter demonstration Wednesday.

Police and mall security quickly moved in, warning that any who did not leave would be arrested for violating mall policy against demonstrations and alerting shoppers that that area of the mall was on lockdown.
Black Lives Matter did not immediately respond to ABC News’ requests for comment.
Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol said it arrested nine female protesters blocking southbound traffic on the 101 freeway near the San Francisco International Airport on Wednesday. Two security checkpoints closed for about 45 minutes, causing flight delays but no cancellations, airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said. (The suspects in that shooting are now in custody.) But the Black Lives Matter activists are not easily deterred from their work, organizing a protest at the Mall of America for December 23.
The hashtag #BlackxMas2 came about on Twitter as Minneapolis protesters decamped from the mall to the airport.
“On one of the busiest travel days of the year, Black Lives Matter is calling for a halt on Christmas as usual in memorial of all of the loved ones we have lost and continue to lose this year to law enforcement violence without justice or recourse”, the organization said in an e-mail statement, according to KTLA. (Frankly, we can’t think of any action more likely to create a backlash among young activists.) Not only did the court turn that part of the suit down, only restraining three members of the group from themselves attending the rally, but the activists themselves showed up as promised.
Black Lives Matter protesters shut down the Mall of America on Wednesday afternoon after a judge ruled that the mall couldn’t ban their protest.
“Activists from Unicorn Riot live streamed the actions and provided overdramatic narration to their viewers, claiming the police were “pushing” protesters-but the videos shows they never were touched”, wrote Lee Stranahan. Officers arrested 13 protesters involved in the demonstration.
Protesters also shut down light-rail service to other stations by standing on the tracks, forcing Metro Transit to send buses to transfer commuters as evening rush hour traffic began.
Police quickly closed the mall’s main entrances and threatened arrests. “The fact that black people get constantly harassed by police forces at every level, local and federal, in airports, malls, and on the streets of America is no longer acceptable”.

The people arrested at the airport were from 18 to 36 years old.
