Controversy over the lack of diversity in the 88th annual Academy Awards’ nomination list is still going on and pressure is growing for Chris Rock to step down as the host of the awards show.

Tony suggests it’s pretty unlikely his brother won’t host.
“Hell yeah he should (host)”. “Because there’s a big a- check involved”.
For Tony, it isn’t all about they money, he addressed the fact that Rock been given this platform also allows him to highlight these issues to a large audience.
Rapper 50 Cent has now taken to instagram to plead with Rock to turn down his role as the host for the show.
The controversy surrounding the nominations has only grown since they were announced last week, and of the 20 acting nominees honored, not a single was a person of color. “F***no”, – before going on to say that no ethnic people have been nominated. But others have called for him to do so.
We are just over five weeks away from the 2016 Oscars, which means that Chris Rock has just over five weeks to potentially back out of his hosting gig at the ceremony. I’d be thinking “this shit is live”.
Having one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples speaking out in tandem against the Oscars is a powerful statement. “Or a broadcast or cable network”.
He followed up on the idea in a statement to People magazine, in which he compared Rock resigning as host to quitting if LGBTQ actors and creators were excluded from the Oscars.
But Tony Rock, 41, put his lot in with African-Americans who think Hollywood is so out of touch that the industry doesn’t even matter anymore.
“I don’t understand why black people feel this undying need to want to be down with white people all the time”, he said. “We recognise the real problems of our community, and that I so appreciate all of you who’ve reached out to me in our attempt to move forward together”.
“F– y’all”, he continued. Y’all don’t like our movies?

Tyrese’s impassioned comments were made shortly after Spike clarified his reasons for shunning the 28 February (16) awards show, insisting he “never used the word boycott”.
