BlackBerry Priv Expected to Get Android Marshmallow Update Next Year
However, it looks like owners of the Priv will have to wait slightly longer than expected for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update from BlackBerry. While with this the Smartphone would also feature many other innovative features. BlackBerry’s physical keyboard is also a unique feature offered by the company when most of the smartphone come with touchscreen keyboards.

With the BlackBerry Priv now available to be purchased in the USA from AT&T ($249.99 with a signed, two-year pact; $699 off-contract), it is time to take stock of the version of Android that is pre-installed on the phone.
Despite its quality, the Priv is not predicted to attract the attention BlackBerry once had from smartphone customers. Priv will be the answer for former BlackBerry users who miss the physical keyboard but need apps.
The BlackBerry Priv isn’t even publicly available yet (it comes out November 9), but it seems there are already a few big plans for the future Android handset.
Blackberry has been around since 1999, gaining popularity as a business phone, famous for its email software and legendary keyboard.
One of the questions surrounding the BlackBerry Priv flagship is how the company will manage to implement its market leading security nous on the Android platform. Blackberry Priv represents the Google-ization of Blackberry and users can easily access the complete catalog of apps in the Google Play store.
The Priv’s design, according to ArsTechnica, is a positive feature since it has a “colourful, pin sharp, and insanely bright” display.
WSJ: Maybe. This former BlackBerry addict is typing 20 percent faster on the Priv than on an iPhone. The phone is also stylish, similar looking to the Samsung Galaxy S4, with a trackpad that doubles as a slide out keyboard.
