The company hasn’t confirmed those specs yet, but German site Der Standard posted a hands-on preview of the phone earlier this week, so unless BlackBerry makes last minute hardware changes, it’s likely that we can expect the phone to ship with a hexa-core processor and a high-resolution display, among other things. The company also decided that employees who wish to continue using the Blackberry device issued to them can do so, but they will now be required to pay the monthly data invoice. You can sign up here. The page also confirms a few of the smartphone’s specifications. “The BlackBerry Priv will have a 5.4” dual curved screen, 3410mAh battery, on screen keyboard as well as a physical slider keyboard, Schneider-Kreuznach certified camera (Schneider-Kreuznach is a company is known partly for its many innovative lens designs) and premium audio quality, although no details were given on exactly what that means. In the past, BlackBerry 10 OS used Amazon’s Appstore to let users install Android apps.

Fortunately, there have been leaks in the past to supply the missing information about the BlackBerry Priv. According to BGR, the unreleased smartphone will sport a QuadHD display, an impressive 18-megapixel rear camera, 1.8 GHZ Snapdragon 808, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of onboard storage, and a MicroSD card slot for expansion. The company claims that the security and privacy measures of the device are comparable to Samsung KNOX.
