According to the latest leaked details regarding the new BlackBerry phone, it will reportedly have an onscreen touch keyboard, which would be typical of the devices out on the market today; but there is something else about Venice that sets it apart. If the phone shown in the image is really the Venice, then it is one more addition to the growing pile of evidence that BlackBerry’s upcoming handset will eschew its own operating system and go for Android instead.

Also the BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite smartphone has been launched in India at a price of Rs.

BlackBerry Venice has been confirmed by one of the pictures leaked not long ago, to feature a 18-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. It’s rumoured specs include a 5.4-inch 2560×1440 pixel display, 18MP OIS camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, and running Android Lollipop.

The image, which first surfaced on the CrackBerry user forums, shows the Venice with an Android-looking keyboard, with the familiar back button placed at the bottom of the keyboard. The physical QWERTY keyboard comes with a slider keyboard and is also accompanied by an on-screen virtual keyboard.

Obviously, we won’t be hearing about the Venice anymore if BlackBerry decides to drop it from its portfolio, but for the time being the unannounced slider is real and might be officially unveiled later this year. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of his latest leak, however, is the suggestion that said handset will be available on all four major U.S. carriers – AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile – right off the bat.
